A heavy tractor just came from a field just beyond driven and transported in his trailer to 8,000 pounds of carrots. In the bend was wrong and the heavy trailer was turned upside down. Whether that happened by quickly taking the corner or the trailer suddenly losschoot, is unclear. The trailer itself ended up in the front yard of an old house, but the largest part of the carrots ended up against the house. By the great pressure of the mass of the carrots broke down the façade of the front building of the property. The facade collapsed half in and hundreds of pounds of carrots ended up in the house. People were no injuries because the occupant has only recently moved to a service in Kortemark.
After the accident, there were some contractors on site to have the trailer right to lift. That was only after hundreds of pounds of carrots by the fire department of Kortemark from the trailer were taken. Then could the trailer be put upright.
Contractor Thomas, who is at the wheel of the John Deere when the trailer was turned upside down, helped. “I have no idea how the accident happened”, he said what excited. “All of a sudden I felt the trailer tipping over and I was powerless: such a colossus, I can never stop it. Fortunately the tractor still standing. I was on the way to Ardo to the roots, but that can of course now no more. ”
After all the roots are removed and transferred, stutte the fire in the house, and made the frontage close. The old house is at the moment uninhabitable, but might later be demolished. By the accident, the road was temporarily completely blocked. Through a combination of carrot porridge and leaked oil the track was also very slippery. The fire department had the Vijfhuishoekstraat still recover.
