Skakstjernen Magnus Carlsen have during the coronakrisen set up its own online tournament series with the name Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour.

The 29-year-old Norwegian started with winning the first tournament a month ago, but it’s not going to repeat itself in the second in the series. It has been given the name Rapid Challenge.

Saturday, may Carlsen see them beaten in the semifinals of the american Hikaru Nakamura, who won the third and decisive battle between the two top players with 3-2 after a so-called armageddon-party.

Magnus Carlsen was finally under great pressure of time, and made a mistake, when he would advance his ’tower’. Thus could the Nakamura take the victory.

Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour consists of a total of five online tournaments over the spring and summer.
