The Rooster that Thursday is poetry week will start with poetry day. Also the pz Bredene/De Haan lets herself be not risen to the occasion. There is a poet laureate, a poet, and now also a politiedichter. His poem is no grand masterpiece, but an easy-volume writing in verse with some reflections on the police.
“Language is very important in our day to day operation of all police officers. Daily we are busy with language, with creating resumes, reports, letters, … The language that we in the police should normally use is rather ministerial, sec, with no room for frivolities, but that does not mean that the – if the opportunity arises – there not something poetic can to draw near”, it sounds within the police force. “For instance, in afscheidsvieringen regular poems, but also the Facebook page of the zone is occasionally spiced up with some doggerel, for example, in announcing flitscontroles.
