‘Travis Perkins has made my cat depressed’
Such is inscribed on a huge banner that hangs on the facade of a house in Manchester.
Inside the house living 44-year-old Wendy Snell. She is well and truly tired of that market, Travis Perkins continues to hang up signs, which shielded her view. It is her cat according to her, also.
It writes the Manchester Evening News.
She tells the local media that she has long been fighting a battle against the construction market, if the outdoor department is right next to her front door and window.

But the most recent sign that was hung right in front of her view, was the last drop for the 44-year-old briton. She claims that her tomcat Wilf has been depressed, because the construction market is blocking its way down to the river.

in fact I think that he is depressed, ” says the 44-year-old cat owner.
– You can see in the pictures, how it has destroyed my view, and on top of that, there is byggerod of it all, says Wendy Snell.
She says that the construction market Travis Perkins is well know for her, because she once previously complained to the city council over a huge sign that was put up in front of her house. The city council gave her the right, and the sign was pulled down, but on Thursday last week was mad again.

Now Travis Perkins hung a large banner with the words ‘now open’.
– I was red-hot, and then it was, that I decided to order my own banner, says Wendy Snell.
It is not the first time that she and the other neighbors put out with Travis Perkins. In 2017 they got stopped byggemarkedets extension plans, because they believed it would result in more traffic and increased noise levels.

A spokesperson from the Travis Perkins say to the Manchester Evening News that the construction market has remained in the Elm Grove, where Wendy Snell live for over 100 years.
– having purchased an adjacent business with dilapidated buildings and having obtained planning permission to develop the space, we have made significant investments and has now hired 12 local people, says the spokesperson further.
