On Monday, the Berlin public transport will be on strike and all. The whole of the BVG workforce is on strike, as the trade Union Verdi announced on Thursday evening. From the start of operation from 3.30 PM until the end of Operation will be to Berlin, no U-Bahn trains, trams and buses.
The collective bargaining for the 14.600 employees of the BVG and BT were inconclusively terminated, it said in a press release from the Union. Verdi, a new offering of Municipal employers ‘ Association (KAV) refused. This had brought to a total volume of € 90 million per year starting in the year 2019 in the negotiations and to be increased under the submitted proposal in order to tens of millions of euros.
“Since we are interested in an early agreement, we have increased our offer again,” said the negotiator on the employers ‘ side, Claudia Pfeiffer, on Thursday afternoon. But Verdi was the collective bargaining burst. “Unfortunately, all employees do not benefit long from the increase in steps, the intended employer,” said Verdi negotiator Jeremy Arndt.
