The Rossmann drugstore is recalling a smoothie drink from its own brand “enerBIO”. According to the press release, the company cannot rule out that the drink contains traces of peanuts, other nuts and sesame. However, there are no warnings for allergy sufferers on the label.
For severe allergy sufferers, even small amounts of the substances can lead to allergic reactions. Symptoms on the skin, eyes, mucous membranes as well as respiratory and circulatory problems can occur, among other things.
Allergy sufferers should therefore not consume the product, but bring it back to the points of sale. The drink was on sale across Germany.
