In the onze-Lieve-vrouw-ten-Heavens, better known as the ‘White Church’ of Schilde, this morning, said goodbye to the murdered Julie From Aspen (23). Antwerp bishop Johan Bonny led the uitvaartplechtigheid. “Julie had no enemies, only friends. Her only enemy was that of the last moment,” said Bonny.
9 hours were already quite a few family and friends present at the entrance of the ‘White Church’, in Schilde, belgium. At the start of the service, a little after 10 pm, was the church chock-full. About 700 family members, friends and acquaintances of Julie attended the funeral. Many of them were completely dressed in white, with a colorful tone.
The father of Julie, Eric, read an emotional text: “Dear Julie, you did everything from the heart. We promise you that we from now on everything from our hearts will do. You also said what you always felt. We saw you so infinitely happy. What are we going to that nice walks and bike rides to miss. Your bike was your freedom. Always was concerned for you, with other people. You wanted not just Julie, you wanted to contribute something. Your death should not be meaningless to prove. Rest in peace, our sunshine.”

Elise, the sister of Julie, took the word: “Dearest sister, it is not fair that I now have to say goodbye to. Anywhere where you came in, you made friends.
