The top scorer of Paris SG Kadidiatou Diani, at the end of the contract this season is “ready to leave the ship” if she does not obtain “guarantees” from her club, she explained on Wednesday in an interview with AFP.
At 28, the striker claims to have made her “99%” choice regarding her future, while her contract expires on June 30. “Before formalizing anything, there must be something concrete, which I sign. I am waiting to be 100% sure, ”says the one who has been evolving since 2017 at PSG.
The France international has three options for his future, according to a source familiar with the negotiations: a move to Chelsea; an arrival in Lyon, the champion club of France; or a contract extension at PSG.
“Today, I am 99% sure of what I want to do and especially where I want to go next year. I have a decision to make very quickly, I hope before the World Cup. But in my head, I am serene”, explained the player who scored 17 goals this season in D1, without wanting to “throw a bomb” by revealing the destination she favors.
Asked about the various projects submitted to her, she indicated that these clubs “promised her the same thing: a dream project, keeping a base of players while strengthening the workforce”.
Asked by AFP, PSG said on Wednesday that “the club would do everything to keep Kadidiatou Diani next season”. From a source close to the negotiations, the Parisian leaders have submitted various offers to him to stay in the capital.
The player with 82 caps did not hesitate to put pressure on her club with AFP. “I think they can do better. It’s not for nothing if we don’t have titles like the Champions League, ”she said on Wednesday. “If I have to stay there I would necessarily need guarantees”.
The striker still opened the door wide to a departure for England, “a fairly attractive championship”. “There is a lot of impact, of stake, that’s what I like,” she slipped. “I arrived at a stage where I am 28 years old, I made all my career in France.
