The General Industrial Production Index (IPI) rose 6.5% in May compared to the same month of 2021, a rate 7.1 points higher than that of the previous month and the highest since June 2021, as reported this Wednesday the National Statistics Institute (INE).
With the data for May, industrial production returns to the rise after falling 0.6% in April. The production of the durable consumer goods industry was the one that grew the most in May, registering a year-on-year rise in 11.3%.
