According to sources from the usually well-informed news website TechCrunch has Epic Games already this year, about 3 billion dollars of profit made. That would be mainly due to the good sales around the shooting game.
Fortnite is, in principle, free to play, but gamers can all kinds of extras for purchase. There are also editions of the game that have to be paid. So there is the sell still a lot of money involved.

Epic Games has never sales figures brought out with regard to Fortnite. Compared to TechCrunch refused the company to comment. The company is since 2012 to 40 percent in the hands of the Chinese internetgigant Tencent, maker of checks social media app WeChat. The 1991 omnibus Epic Games developed earlier games like ‘Unreal’ and ‘Gears of War’.
