France knows how to receive and intends to show it once again. As King Charles III began a three-day state visit to France on Wednesday, the British monarch and Queen Camilla are expected this evening for a sumptuous dinner in the Hall of Mirrors at the Château de Versailles. After having rekindled the flame of the unknown soldier under the Arc de Triomphe and having spoken face to face with Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée, the successor of Elizabeth II will share the table with more than 150 guests. Among the latter, dozens of distinguished guests, in the political, cultural and especially economic fields. Several great captains of industry will be present. Like the chairman and CEO of LVMH Bernard Arnault or the president of Chanel Bruno Pavlovsky, included on a protocol list transmitted by the Château. In the luxury sector, there is also Axel Dumas, president and CEO of Hermès.
If the telecoms sector is only represented by the founder of Illiad Xavier Niel, the energy sector is more extensive. The general director and chairman of the board of directors of Engie, Catherine MacGregor and Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, will also dine in Yvelines. Just like EDF CEO Luc Remont, Schneider Electric CEO-designate Peter Herweck, and McPhy Energy CEO Luc Poyer. Also invited is Count Édouard de Guittaut, director of Energy Future.
Ross McInnes, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Safran, Éric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation and Pierre-Éric Pommellet, Chairman and CEO of Naval Group will represent the defense sector.
