Style The well-known American fashion company Calvin Klein is an iconic dress at the Antwerp fashion museum (MoMu) to give. The donation is a dress from the Calvin Klein By Appointment collection and marks the debut of Belgian designer Raf Simons when he was at the time, was appointed as creative director at the brand.
The dress in question is a slip dress of organza, decorated with transparent beads and multicolored, hand-painted feathers. Simons chose the dress according to the MoMu. MoMu director Kaat Debo talks about an “extraordinarily generous gift” and states that it is a valuable addition to the existing collection of the museum, since the dress “a symbol of a wonderful chapter in the career of Simons”. The dress was worn by the actress and Oscarwinnares Julianne Moore during the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2017.
