On the fifth day of deliberations in the murder trial against the former nurse Niels Högel, the defendant has finished his statement. In court he admitted to have regularly victims looking for. Four whole days have taken the judge at the Oldenburg regional court in time to interrogate the man who allegedly killed more people than any other in Germany since 1945. Niels Högel, a former nurse, accused of murder in 100 cases.

this Wednesday Högel has finished his statement. 43 murders he has confessed to. At the end of his statement, it was the patient, Renate R., the last victim, the poisoned Högel before his arrest in June 2005, he admitted.

Against Högel has already been imposed life imprisonment. But he was convicted only because of those six acts. In the new process, it comes to numerous other cases. The Prosecutor’s office, according to the defendant, in the years 2000 to 2005 as a nurse in the clinics of Delmenhorst and Oldenburg regularly patients administered drugs, which led to cardiac arrest.
