FC Metz: Didier Lamkel Zé and the Indomitable Lions Shine against Cape Verde

Minée by a disrupted preparation due to tensions between Marc Brys and Samuel Eto’o, the Cameroonian national team played their 3rd qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup on Saturday. After a tumultuous week behind the scenes of Fecafoot, Cameroon faced Cape Verde for the 3rd day of qualifying matches in Group D for the 2026 World Cup. With a victory over their opponents, Cameroon would reclaim the top spot in Group D.

In his first match leading the Indomitable Lions, Marc Brys secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Cape Verde. His players took the lead in Group D. FC Metz’s forward Didier Lamkel Zé came on in the 71st minute when the match was already decided, with the Indomitable Lions leading 4-1.
