It is an “exceptional” event which will be held on Tuesday afternoon at the Palais de Justice in Paris. From 277 lots, “seized in the context of cases exclusively related to drug trafficking”, Agrasc (Agency for the management and recovery of seized and confiscated assets) entrusted the General Directorate of Public Finances, via the Domain, the organization of an auction. These goods, which range from Rolex watches to Louboutin pumps and Louis Vuitton bags, “will reflect the full range of goods”, as specified in a press release from the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
To better arouse the interest of luxury lovers, Bercy outlines the range of products offered: “vehicles (Lamborghini)”, “designer clothing”, “jewelry and watches, or even leather goods.” If the sale is by registration, it will be preceded by an exhibition of the lots in question, a little earlier in the morning. Interested parties, who will not be able to go to the Palais de Justice, – a place which “takes on a strong symbolism by standing in a high historical place which embodies Justice” -, can also consult the catalog and follow the sale on the site. of Drouot.
“This joint operation of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, is intended to enhance the action of the justice services and law enforcement in the daily fight against drug trafficking,” the statement continued. The Estate, linked to the General Directorate of Public Finances, organizes around a hundred sales each year. In 2022, the total proceeds of these events have even risen to 100 million euros.
