When I accepted to participate in the “Farm celebrity”, it was important for me that the production did not make a point of legningen my. However, it is nice to be able to “stand up”, if one can call it that, tells Christer Rødseth (28) to Dagbladet.
It is the calm before the storm in the premises of the restaurant Vaaghals in Oslo. Soon to be sweethearts in the crowd find their way to the glass building housing in the middle of the Barcode area, and the young chef uses the opportunity to take a short break from the preparations – before it really slams.
Therefore, appeared the “Farm”-Christer suddenly up with eye patch
– We take valentine’s day seriously, and to ommøblere a part up here, so that the entire second floor consists of a table with seating for two, says Rødseth, and pointing eagerly around in the sleek venue.
– It is fully booked, so we’ll definitely plenty to do. It will be fun!
Will have time for all
By natural reasons (that he’s going to spend the evening on the job, that is), Rødseth no plans for valentine’s day. In addition, he is also single, then – which, of course, is a point.
I had a boyfriend from the time I was 24 to 26 years, and a short relationship when I was 19, but right now it’s just me. It is nice there, but I hope of course to find love eventually.

– Have you really the time?
– If I find a person who, misunderstand me right, is in the same league, so go there. But it should ideally be a chef. Two chefs together is not good, be chuckling he, and adds:
The most important thing is that the level of ambition is there. Although I have no plans to slow down quite yet – I have a hope to get to do a little more tv, among others.
“Farm” as a stepping stone
As if it’s not busy enough running a restaurant, like Rødseth therefore to any time to do more things at the same time. In addition to having worked his way up to become the captain of the Norwegian national cook team, he tries therefore to strike while the “Farm”-the iron is hot.
Fleeing from Assads drapsstyrke. Now he has got a new future in the Vaaghals
– Realitydeltakelsen is obviously a stepping stone, but I thanked no yes to be a celebrity. I look rather at it as a great opportunity to convey the things I can, and reach out to more people with it I actually is known for: To cook.
Hard work has always triggered 28-year-old from Aurskog, who found out that he wanted to be a chef at the age of five years. When he found, however, that he liked boys and not girls? Although, he has not a good answer.
– No, it is hard to put your finger on. Imagine that you are walking along a road, which is your life, and so has it just happened in the course of the trip. It is just the way it is, and always has been, concludes he.
“Apart from some småtilfeller I have experienced very little hate.” Christer Rødseth (28)
He began to tell it to their closest in 15 years. And while many think it can be both difficult and challenging to be open about orientation, mean Rødseth that he has been lucky.
Okay
– I have never had any moon, and has always had full support from home. When I told it to my mom, she replied that she had known it since I was nine years old. Apart from some småtilfeller I have experienced very little hate, but it has bounced off. I don’t let stuff like that go in on me, it’s just stupid, ” he says.

– Have you always been so confident?
– Yes, within reason. I have never had any “issues”, and even when I was 16 years old and had a face full of pimples, I had it really quite okay. The focus of my has always been a job and ambitions, and it is kokkekarrieren that is me. Also, I’m a homo, then. Or queer, which is the term I prefer.
– Why?
Dramatic “the Farm”-miss: – The scariest thing I have ever experienced
I feel that homosexuality sound like a disease, because it often can be hausset up as something special – something different. But then is it really not there, ” he says.
Clear speech
All kokketilskudd who have come to the Vaaghals while Rødseth has been a chef, have had the same questions in the door: Are you homophobic?
they Say yes, then it’s the right out. I have not experienced it yet, but feel nonetheless that I’m going to have to ask, for we are still there in 2019, ” he says, and continues:
– All employees should feel accepted in this workplace, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, or ethnicity. I experience, fortunately, it’s as okay to be gay in kokkebransjen, and withstand that colleagues kidding with it.
Rødseth comes still a silly call to heterosexual men:
– the End to believe that I should try myself on you, for no homosexual like heterosexual men anyway. Ha-Ha.
