Lavoie, a subsidiary of the British company McLaren Applied specializing in electric transport, announced Thursday that it would buy the Dutch bicycle manufacturer VanMoof, declared bankrupt in July.
Lavoie said in a statement that it had “entered into a definitive agreement to acquire premium e-bike company VanMoof,” dubbed the “Tesla of e-bikes,” without disclosing the amount of the transaction.
