Good news for fans of the saga. The video game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, a new episode of the famous franchise set in feudal Japan, will be released on November 15, French publisher Ubisoft announced on Wednesday.
The game will be available on the latest generation consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as on Mac and PC. “Players will take part in the linked stories of Naoe, a shinobi Assassin from Iga Province, and Yasuke, the powerful and legendary historical samurai. Players will discover their personal stories, meet historical figures and shape the common destiny of this duo, in the midst of a new era for Japan,” detailed Ubisoft.
“Assassin’s Creed Mirage”, the latest opus of the successful series released last October and whose plot takes place in Baghdad in the 9th century, ranked in 10th position on the French video game market with more than 300,000 copies sold , according to a report published in March.

Having become profitable again in 2023-2024, Ubisoft should soon see the launch of another major game: “Star Wars Outlaws”, derived from the famous film series, scheduled for August 30. Produced in collaboration with LucasFilm, “Star Wars Outlaws” immerses the player in the shoes of Kay Vess, an outlaw who evolves within the Empire. The action will take place between the events of the films “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi”.
Iconic figures from the “Star Wars” universe will make an appearance, like Jabba the Hutt on the planet Tatooine or the droid C-3PO, according to the trailer. Already up for pre-order, “Star Wars Outlaws” will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
