Lotteries managed to put a full stop to the Covid crisis in 2021, by registering its sales record for the last ten years. The revenue of the State Lotteries and State Betting Society (Selae) amounted to 9,359 million euros in 2021, 21% more than the previous year, strongly impacted by the pandemic, when sales fell to 7,687 million.
According to the accounts deposited in the Mercantile Registry, in 2021 Selae not only came out of the doldrums of the pandemic, but also managed to invoice 1.1% more than in 2019, partly due to the boost from the Christmas Lottery, which represents around 30% of it
