The companies Arkadia Space, Comet Engineering, DAS Photonics, fentISS, NAX Solutions, Orbital EOS and PLD Space. set up Espai Aero to take advantage of their capabilities and expand their international visibility.

The main companies in the space sector in the Valencian Community have created the first aerospace association in the region, called Espai Aero. Specifically, the founders of this initiative are Arkadia Space, Comet Engineering, DAS Photonics, fentISS, NAX Solutions, Orbital EOS and PLD Space. The objectives of this collaboration are based on reinforcing the coordination of their activities, strengthening their capacities thanks to shared knowledge and boosting their visibility at a national and international level.

The group explains that its creation responds to a temporary situation such as the phase of continuous expansion that the space industry is going through on the global stage. Valencian companies are now committed to strengthening their relationship through the cluster to improve their competitiveness in a rising market.

Among the companies that have promoted the project are some with a long history in the aeronautical and space sector, as well as other younger firms that offer disruptive solutions.

The president of Espai Aero and CEO of Comet Engineering, Pepe Nieto, points out that “SMEs in the space sector in the Valencian Community are experiencing unparalleled growth, which is why it is the perfect time to come together as an association with synergistic goals, trying to combine the efforts of the Valencian aeronautical companies in these key sectors for industrial and technological development, and the creation of jobs with high added value”.
