Of the 155 years ago the built-Jens Nielsen is a machine to clean grain.
It was the beginning of a business, which among other things has won prizes at the world Exhibition in Paris in 1900, while, as must now move from the place where it all started. It writes Fyfe.dk.
Damas, as the company is called today, was acquired by SKIOLD A/S in 2015. The plan is that they should achieve a growth of 300 percent over the course of five years, and to be able to achieve this, they must move the company to Sæby in northern Jutland, where SKIOLD A/S is based.
A small part of the company will be transferred to Poland, while the sales department has not yet been clarified, where they must be moved onto. However, they are probably on the island of Fyn, where they will be based in Odense, denmark.
specifically, the 66 jobs to be moved from the Vester Aaby. 38 of these moves to Sæby and Poland, while the remaining 28 are employed in the sales department.
According to Helle Lennø Weesgaard, which is marketing manager at SKIOLD A/S, none of the current employees, however, end up as unemployed.
– There have been personal conversations with each employee, which must all have new jobs, the majority, however, only at the end of 2019.
– We expect that we have found a jobløsning to each employee, before we close the production in Vester Aaby all the way down, she says to the Times.dk
Vester Aaby is located in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, and the mayor of His Stavnsager is sad that companies move away from the area.
– There can be many good reasons for it, but in a municipality like ours, where there are many villages, there is something that we unfortunately are experiencing, and it hurts.
– Fortunately, there are also companies which really develops and expands in the villages, so the picture is not so black. But when it is just the framework here, so of course it is a black day for Vester Aaby and for the municipality as a whole, he says to Ekstra Bladet.
the Mayor says that business on the island of Funen in general is doing well, then the dismissed employees to find a new job in the local community, if they want it.
Damas has been in Vester Aaby in virtually all of the time, the company has existed. Therefore, does it affect the city in a very special way, that they move away.
– It’s really, really too bad. As several of the local residents have noticed that, it’s a part of the city’s identity.
– It will be a place where you live and buy in, but driving by the place every morning to get to work. And I think jo is a little annoying that this is the way it goes, ” says mayor His Stavnsager.
Now Vester Aabys residents without their longtime neighbor of the Damas, but the many employees should probably find something else, says the mayor.
– I am very optimistic on behalf of the staff, but I’m vexed on the city’s behalf, because it is an important part of the story, which closes down.
