The flu wave has engulfed the country. At the end of January were reported by 148 doctor people 27 suspected cases per 1000 consultations. The threshold for an epidemic is the flu had been exceeded already in the second week of January.

The flu is widespread in all regions, wherein the Region of Graubünden/Ticino, with 480 cases per 100’000 inhabitants, the most affected, followed by the Region of Aargau/Basel/Solothurn (254) and Western Switzerland (GE, NE, VD, VS) with 223 suspected cases per 100’000 inhabitants. (fal/sda)
