of snow and storm, let the avalanche danger on the rise: For large parts of the Alps, the Institute for snow and avalanche research (SLF) warns of the great danger of avalanches. This is the second highest of five alert levels.

Exposed parts of transportation routes are endangered in some cases.

For the snow sports off-piste, these ratios are according to the SLF dangerous. Even single persons can trigger an avalanche for ski touring, off-piste skiing or snow-Shoe walks back mounted position.

Below 2400 meters is to be expected because of the rain, with Wet and glide – snow avalanches. At altitudes between 2000 and 2400 meters of one of these snow can slide also be large. In the remaining regions of the Alps the avalanche danger is considerable. This corresponds to the mean of the five alert levels. (fal/sda)
