On the list of official values for Denmark are ’trust’ and ‘equality before the law’. Friday presents Danske Bank, how much money is run into the machine, that the last year has been revealed in the washing of money in Eastern europe, in a degree, as the cases now stand in a queue to let the bank pay heavily for the fraud.

But can the country’s largest bank at all allow themselves to be called something in Danish, when than not it can live up to Danmarkskanonens list of values?

No, reads it from the Device list, calling the bank a bad brand for Denmark:

– It would be nice if Danske Bank is not to be confused with a public bank, where the obvious name would be the Danish Bank. So I think that it would be beneficial if the local Bank got a name, there is less to relate them to the whole of the Danish population. I think, actually, that there are many people who do not believe that they have lived up to the expectation, which is in the name, says Pelle Dragsted, finansordfører.

Yes, sounds it from the lot, who shares the first name with the bank, but there is no space for more mistakes, says the Danish people’s party spokesman, René Christensen.

– I will not encourage them to change the name, but I will encourage them to live up to the responsibilities that are about to be called Danske Bank.

But what to say to the danes? Ekstra Bladet has been in Roskilde to hear how the attitude is to the Danish Bank. Friday, Ekstra Bladet try to get answers on whether the Danish Bank believes itself to be, it lives up to the name.

do you Think that the Danish Bank has represented Danish values?

For the most part yes. I would say 99.9 percent. But they should be better to check the different departments.

– Should the change the name?

It is an Estonian section, there has been the problem, so they should continue to be called Danske Bank.
