What we live in artistically tranquil times. Everything is allowed in the so-called serious music, each composer with his pipes his private theory building, and must justify it to anyone. 100 years ago, however, there was still the question of conscience: How do you think the tonality? You have hit on the side of Schönberg and his Zwölftönern or do you cling to the traditional music theory?
Erich Wolfgang Korngold, the 1897-born Viennese Wunderkind, seems to be in its decadent and opulent operas such as “The dead city” in Yesterday anchored. And yet, he felt that the familiar System was on the verge of Implosion. So anyway, Mihaela Martin, Mohamed Hiber, Adrien La Marca, Jing Zhao, and Plamena Mongova suggest on Monday at the Intonation Festival at the Jewish Museum Korngold at the beginning of the 1920s, formed a piano quintet.
