The house is located on Indian Creek, an exclusive artificial island located in Miami-Dade County, in the state of Florida.
The Amazon founder and chairman purchased the home in June, but the identity of the buyer has not been known until now. The house, which occupies a plot of just over one hectare (10,000 square meters), has three rooms and has a private pool. It was built in 1965 and was owned by MTM Star International, a company linked to Panama. The last registered sale of the property was in 1982 and then it reached a value of 1.4 million dollars.
Bezos owns several mansions in the United States, including a luxurious residence located in Beverly Hills (Los Angeles) for which he paid $165 million in 2020. For this operation, it became the most expensive house in California history.
It was a colonial-style villa built in 1930 as the residence of the first president of Warner Bros. studios, Jack Warner. Among other luxuries, it had its own nine-hole golf course, tennis court, swimming pool, and gardens spread over a 13,000-square-meter estate.
