I was looking on the Myspace just a couple of weeks ago, it felt strange and half-forgotten. It was the English singer/songwriter Roy Harper, an american tribute album to him that has become clear to half and been out on Myspace for so long.

And indeed, there they were: six songs insjungna of names like Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes), Gary Louris (from The Jayhawks). Just click and listen.

Then came Youtube, Facebook, Spotify and a lot of other, even more modern forum. Myspace turned into a forgotten backyard, if than loved, and the use of the few remaining enthusiasts.

Roy Harper records on Spotify, by the way is a chapter for itself, he belongs to those artists that are just there, partially and not always the last one checked. Right now is where ten albums, five of the first six matches is his right insignificant debut album, under five different titles. Of his essential discs are only three, perhaps they are more in the morning. Or fewer.

I have more than that on the vinyl at home in the shelf feels more predictable than the old-fashioned, actually.
