on the Night of Monday went to the big Grammy awards held in Los Angeles, united STATES.
While the world watched, was the set of eight minutes to a tribute of Motown, the record company that was the impetus for much of the largest african american popmusikken in the 60’s. The company has meant a lot for the careers of among others Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder.
main Character in the number was Jennifer Lopez, along with Motown artists Smokey Robinson and Ne-Yo. Just the fact that J. Lo stood in the centre of the tribute, has now got Twitter to a boil.
“Sexy” performance
Several responded that Jennifer Lopez, who even has puertorikanske roots, danced the salsa during the performance, something which does not originate from african american culture.
Earlier this week has, among other sportswriter Jemele Hill, TV personality Loni Live, and the creator of the #OscarsSoWhite campaign April Reign criticized Lopez.
The #GRAMMYs hello… Hi… What the heck was that?!? That was all about Jlo and that performance was about here dancing. That was NOT about Motown that all. the
Neyo as a Motown artist didn’t even get his shine and fair time!
