up to 50 degrees Celsius and can rise the Thermometer in the Mojave desert, California. However, not only the climatic conditions here are difficult for people, many of them live “off the grid” – disconnected from the public supply network. It is with this existence outside of the conventional social system of the Latin quarter, Corey.
Geneva travelled in the last few years in the Mojave desert and Mongolian steppes, to work artistically With wooden slats, silver foil, shining tires, and water tanks, Corey sculptures built in the middle of the countryside and nature and its energies are plastically translated. Sounds abstract. But Corey, who studied first political science and then art, want to think with creative resources on the social, political and economic development of the territories and the emancipation of its inhabitants.
Against this Background, the Walch tower developed work “Space of Dissidence” (the place of difference of opinion): His experience from the Off-Grid life-style confronted Corey with the urban life in Zurich. To do this, he will bring the rain water and solar panels in the Walch tower.
