As Renia mirror on 31. January 1939 for the first Time, in her diary wrote, she was 15 years old. She lived in a small Polish town, and a Familiar, could you confide in your sorrows and joys, secrets and feelings wanted. Someone who understands you, you are not condemned. “Today is the first day of our friendship,” she writes. “Who knows how long they will exist? Maybe to the end of our life.” Renia could not have imagined that this end would come much too early. The Jew was at 30. July 1942 by a German soldier on the open road shot.
Born in 1924, she was a Good parent in today’s Ukraine, grew up in a carefree time, but only lasted shortly. In 1939, fled to Renia and her sister Ariana to your grandparents to Przemysl, however, with the Hitler-Stalin Pact divided the city. Renia and her sister lived on the Soviet side in the Grand parents, until the Nazis conquered the city in June 1941. Shortly before Renia had kissed for the first Time your friend.
The Horror of war with the face
What remains of her, is this diary, which carries your voice up to the present day. It is a force to voice full, contact, a voice is generated when read chicken skin. Again and again, she writes of her mother, who lives in Nazi-occupied Warsaw and the missing her so much. She writes of her Fears of the harassment by Soviet soldiers or Nazis, the Horror of the pogroms. She writes but also how she falls in love, as she goes with her Friends to school and to lead in all the Chaos and Horror of living a normal life trying. Again and again she expresses her thoughts and feelings in poetry – the touch are evidence of a young woman, the Horror of war with the forehead.

After her death, her sister, Ariana Elzbieta Bellak took the Polish wrote a diary and kept it for decades, without showing it to anyone. Only in 2014 they gave it a Polish film-maker to read, and immediately recognized the force of this testimony. The two established a Foundation, and the diary published in 2016, to Polish, 75 years after Renia had written her last entry.
The final Chapter
This was in the days when the Nazis, with large-scale shoot began solutions in the Polish Jewish Ghettos. The Grandfather had hidden Renia in an attic in the Ghetto, while he smuggled her sister Ariana. She survived, but Renia died, although she begs in her last entry: “Save us, Lord. You have protected me from bullets and bombs to survive, help me, help us!”
The diary includes 700 hand-written pages and will appear this week for the first Time in the English language. The last entry is from Renia’s friend: “Three shots! Three lives lost! It happened last night around 22: 30. The fate decided to take my loved one from me. My life is over. All I can hear are shots, shots, shots . . . My dear Renia, the last Chapter of your diary is complete.”
