We eat less meat, for the climate
more and more swedes say that it pulled down on their meat consumption for climate’s sake. 56 per cent say they have reduced their meat consumption, compared with 47 per cent three years ago, according to a Sifoundersökning made on behalf of the SVT News.
the Greatest decline is among women. 2015 answered 54 per cent that it pulled down on the meat – in this year’s survey is 67%.
the Responses also seems to be reflected in the total meat consumption. Last year saw the largest annual decline in carnivorous in Sweden since 1990. And the downward trend continues this year with a decrease of 2.8%, or 1.8 kilos per person, during the first nine months, according to figures from the Agriculture department.
In Sifoundersökningen got 1 000 swedes in the whole country answering questions about his own carbon footprint. In addition to pulling down on the flesh, said of the swedes that they made a series of changes of its behavior.
84 percent stated that they now recycle things, at least to some degree, and 72 percent say that they are, in a certain extent, draws down on its energy consumption. Slightly fewer believe that global warming is underestimated in the day; 24 per cent compared with 31 per cent in 2015.
