a Swedish journalist, novelist Leif Salmén is dead, relatives told the Svenska Yle.

Salmén was born in Helsinki in 1952 and was at his death 67-year-old.

He worked at general radio as a journalist in the 1970s and 1980s and became known to the politicians of the extremely critical and strict interviews. Salmén also wrote poems, short stories and essays. The last book, a collection of essays in the Oriental room (Det orientalis square on rummet) was published in 2017.

Salmén has been awarded, inter alia, the Topelius prize, tolland erin prize and the Eino Leino prize.

in the 70s and 80s he was an active player in the Finnish communist party.
