the Idea is to incorporate a consistent encryption between the Facebookägda apps. It should then for example be possible for a Facebookanvändare to send an encrypted message to someone who has just Whatsapp.
The three services will, however, continue to be stand-alone apps, according to the newspaper, which based the news on the data collected from four persons with the transparency of the process. The implementation is scheduled for the end of 2019 or in early 2020.
Facebook has not yet commented on the data.
