Science Who a lot of tea drinking as well very hot, running nearly twice the risk of esophageal cancer than those who drink smaller amounts of food and longer cool down. According to a new study.

Scientists followed, on average, ten years, more than 50,000 people between 40 and 75, from Golestan in North Eastern Iran. Between 2004 and 2017 they discovered 317 new cases of esophageal cancer. They concluded that those who tea warmer than 60 degrees Celsius can drink more than 700 ml per day of consume, 90 percent more likely to have had cancer to get than who the tea less hot and in lesser quantities of drink. 700 ml is equal to approximately two large bags or three smaller ones.

Dr. Farhad Islami of the American Cancer Society , lead author of the scientific article in the International Journal of Cancer , explains: “a lot of people love drink tea, coffee or other hot beverages. But according to our research, drinking very hot tea the risk of esophageal cancer increase. Therefore, we recommend to wait for your hot drink which cools down before the holidays.”
