The German hockey Federation (DEB) they seem to make every effort to squander all the opportunities that has opened up the national team by winning the Olympic silver medal. After the winter games, a third of the recently-made popular Teams stepped back first. The Association held no players of it, but cheered the departure of the hero – and the world championship in may ended with a weakened national team before the quarter-finals.
Shortly after the start of the season, the DEB could not keep the Covenant coach, Marco Sturm was a Co-Trainer in Los Angeles.
