The Club-icon Mathias Seger pushes into the coaching staff of the ZSC Lions. The long-time Captain and defense chief supports as an additional assistant alongside Michael Liniger, the new head coach Arno Del Curto, since a week in the office.

The 41-year-old Seger, one of the most deserving and the most popular players in the organization of the Lions, the Coaching in advance for the Defensive responsibility. As a player, graduated from Seger in 19 seasons 1026 games for the ZSC Lions before ending his career after last season with a farewell game last fall.

Seger won as a player with the ZSC Lions, six League titles and the Champions League and the Victoria Cup (2009). With the Swiss national team, he won the 2013 world championship silver. (sda)
