the Waves going high in these days between the Danish Tennis Federation and the Danish Padel Federation. The latter believes that tennisforbundet trying to shut down the padel sport down in Denmark.
the Conflict started already for years back, as the padel sport began to grow enormously over the country. Subsequently got the French Tennis Federation two seats in the federation’s board of directors, and the parties entered into an agreement, which meant that we would focus more and more on the padeltennis. Danish Padel Federation believes, however, that tennisforbundet live up to the agreement and call it instead of usportsligt.
– We believe it has been the intention for them (tennisforbundet, red) to get the requested padelforbundet, so you can say that it is still in one way or another is the strategy they are running.
– It is something that we intend to complain to the Danish sports Federations, for we believe it is highly inappropriate, says Danish Padel Forbundes president, Ole Egholm, to Ekstra Bladet.
He has now going to complain about tennisforbundets treatment:
– actually, I think that it is usportsligt, and of course, it is something that we should complain about, but I don’t know what the Danish sports Federations will say to it here, for the French Tennis Federation is the member of them, and we are, after all, only ansøgerkandidat, and it could well be that the (DIF, red) will not record anyone, so in this way they are selective, he says.
Understand the conflict in a few minutes here:
the Danish Padel Federation (DPF) believe that the DGI has entered into an agreement with the French Tennis Federation, where padel hear the inside of the tennis
the Danish Padel Federation has, however, sought on the inclusion in DIF.
the French Tennis Federation have had two members of the board of directors of the DPF, however, without success in relation to cooperation.
the DPF believes, however, that tennisforbundet will try to close the associated down.
the French Tennis Federation has applied for admission in the international padelforbund (FIP), which the DPF looks like a declaration of war, when the Danish Padel Federation has been a member of FIP since 2017. There is recorded only one federation per country.
the DPF believes, therefore, that the French Tennis Federation is trying to put a stop to their development of padel as a self-discipline and instead make the padel to a variety of tennis.

At the French Tennis Federation recognizes it not, however, the criticism from the Danish Padel Federation, and instead stresses that connected want to cooperate in order to get widespread padel sport even more in the future. It tells the French Tennis Confederation’s president, Henrik Thorsøe Pedersen to Ekstra Bladet.
– I think they (English Padel Federation, red) itself has some internal stuff to contend with. We have the two man sitting in their board of directors, and we have had an agreement with them, has made, that they would get the money by the DIF to improve the sport. But then there came a new board of directors, and they did not want to cooperate, says Henrik Thorsøe Pedersen.
– So it is not a conflict, as In can recognize the?
– No, I don’t know if I would call it a conflict. They wanted, of course, really just to turn a line in the sand, and then you can say that the cooperation is ceased.
– Padel I see no challenges. They should probably be increased in the future. The problem is just that the padel as a confederation has a very long-term outlook in relation to the inclusion in DIF, he says.
