Shiffrin had only 4/100 second ahead of slovenian Petra Vlhová before finaleomgangen, while Bernadette Schild from Austria was the number three (+0,26).
In finaleomgangen was Shiffrin in a separate class and won finally by 0,29 seconds in front of Vlhová. The american girl settled in the lower part of the trail after having been 0,04 behind before the last intermediate time.
Schild ran out, and thus slipped Swedish Frida Hansdotter in the third place, to 0.37 seconds behind, having climbed two places.
Gardens-Løseth was number six before finaleomgangen, but lost further time to the best. The goal ended the Norwegian 29-year-old 1,49 seconds behind Shiffrin.
The Norwegian girls delivered a solid team effort in the first half, and four Norwegian girls were among the 14 best.
Kristin Lysdahl did his best slalåmrenn in his career when she drove up from 13. to 10.-space. Mina Fürst Holtmann was standing on 12.-place, while Maren Skjøld fell from 14. 19.-space.
There was no finaleomgang on neither Kristine Gjelsten Haugen or Therese Stjernesund. They drove down to, respectively, 39. 40.-space.
