“Women in Beirut marched against child marriage”
“Hundreds of activists protested against the practice of child marriage in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Saturday. The protesters are demanding that parliament amends the law so that marriage is not allowed for persons under the age of 18 years. Today, gifts to children as young as 14 years), affects mostly girls.”
