Alpine skiing: by winning in Are Shiffrin wins the slalom globe for his return from injury

The American star secured the Alpine Skiing World Cup slalom globe on Sunday by easily winning the Are slalom in Sweden, his first race since his fall in Italy a month and a half ago.

Shiffrin won her eighth globe in her favorite discipline after winning six of the nine slaloms in which she took part this winter. She beat the Croatian Zrinca Ljutic (1 sec 24) and the Swiss Michelle Gisin (1 sec 34) on Sunday.
