Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt continues to dominate the giant slalom discipline where he is undefeated this season after his victory on Saturday in Bansko (Bulgaria), in an event counting for the World Cup.

The leader of the general classification of the World Cup was ahead of the Norwegian Alexander Steen Olsen by almost a second (91 hundredths), who reached his first giant podium, and the Austrian Manuel Feller (1.08).

The 26-year-old Swiss genius, who signs a ninth consecutive victory in giant, has not lost in this discipline since his second place in February 2023 in Palisades Tahoe (United States) and he has not left the podiums of the specialty since March 2021.

“The track was good, the conditions were good. I had fun,” commented Marco Odermatt upon arrival, undisputed leader of the world giant rankings with 600 points out of 600 possible.

Among the French, Léo Anguenot entered the top 15 with a 15th place, signing his best result in the World Cup. Thibaut Favrot ranks 19th.
