This Monday, Anthony Marchand took fourth place in the Arkéa Ultim Challenge, won by Charles Caudrelier (Edmond de Rothschild) 13 days 6 hours, 30 minutes, 39 seconds ago. The skipper of Actual Ultim crossed the finish line this Monday in Brest early in the afternoon, at 3:08 p.m. after 64 days 1 hour 38 minutes spent at sea.

The 39-year-old sailor was forced to make two technical stops, the first in Cape Town due to an impact on the port foil on January 23. He was able to leave with his giant of the seas, not 100% but capable of setting off again to attack the southern seas.

On February 11, it was the victim of another breakage, at the level of the mechanism which allows the starboard foil to remain in the low position. He stopped in Tasmania on February 11 before passing Cape Horn and heading up the Atlantic. Anthony Marchand covered a total of 29,948.03 miles at an actual speed of 19.48 knots.
