The two French faced each other last night in the Summer League, as a symbol, to close a day of national celebration. Bilal Coulibaly, 7th in the last Draft and Ousmane Dieng, held their rank in Las Vegas. Oklahoma, Dieng’s team could not prevent the loss to Washington (105-89).

Coulibaly finished the game with his best statistical line since the start of the Summer League with 19 points 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks. Dieng, frequently used by the Thunder, responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.

Another French duel took place, a little later in the night. Less flashy on paper, Victor Wembanyama’s teammate at the San Antonio Spurs Sidy Cissoko challenged his compatriot Malcolm Cazalon and the Detroit Pistons. The first finished the game with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block while Cazalon continues to impress (16 points, 4 rebounds). The Pistons won 79-73.
