It’s a little surprise: Paolo Banchero will play for Team USA in view of the next World Cup in the Philippines, which begins on August 25th. Born in the United States but holder of an Italian passport, Banchero had declared several times that he would be an Azzuri player for the next international deadlines.
He joins a team made up of elements like Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton and Mikal Bridges. Team USA’s training camp will take place on August 3 in Las Vegas, before a first World Cup match scheduled for the 26th of the same month, against New Zealand.
