The magic of the Coupe de France… but not this time. During the eighth round of the competition, the modest team of Reims Sainte-Anne, resident of Nationale 3, had achieved the feat of bringing down Dunkirk, playing in Ligue 2, the little thumb was finally disqualified this Wednesday.
In question, a point of regulation which was not respected. Antonin Houdelet, a young amateur defender, was included on the match sheet when he should have been suspended. The northern club therefore filed an appeal, and won its case, with the French Football Federation.
It is therefore indeed the Dunkirk people who will come up against the Union Sportive du pays de Saint-Omer, playing at the first level of the regional championships (R1). The meeting will take place on January 7.
