At the end of last season, medical examinations in Brest revealed an irregular heartbeat in Noah Fadiga, leading to the revocation of his football license by the medical commission of the French Football Federation (FFF), while he was under contract with the Breton club until 2026. The 23-year-old will be able to relaunch in Belgium since La Gantoise announced this Wednesday the arrival of the Frenchman until 2026.
Noah Fadiga never kissed his arm, after his diagnosis he explained that he had undergone in-depth examinations by Professor Pedro Brugada, who had operated on his father, a footballer whose career was also stopped by heart problems. According to the young player, who has Belgian and Senegalese nationalities, the cardiologist had concluded that he could continue his career “without any risk”.
“I have prepared intensively for the new season (…) and feel in great shape and very motivated. See you soon in the field”, he added, referring to the “zero tolerance policy” of the FFF medical commission. The career of his father, Khalilou Fadiga, a former Senegalese international striker, had also been weighed down by heart problems, notably preventing his transfer to Inter Milan in 2003 after being revealed to Auxerre. He then moved to England and then to Belgium, where he also played a season in the jersey of La Gantoise (2007-2008).
