“We no longer wish to communicate with PSG through the press. We have things to say to PSG, we imagine that they have things to say to us. We see each other, we work but we don’t comment,” declared Emmanuel Grégoire. “What we want is to get back to work and not make any comments. PSG will never leave the Parc des Princes,” he added.

Tension is at its maximum between the Paris town hall and the president of the Parisian club Nasser Al-Khelaifi who announced on Thursday that it was “finished” and that he wanted to “move from the Parc des Princes” because the town hall does not want him give up the enclosure. The town hall then indicated that the door was “still open” to PSG, for which “there are other solutions” than the sale of the Parc des Princes. For months, the situation has continued to become tense between the two camps in the face of the persistent blockage of the file. And by dint of passing the buck through the media, the dialogue ended up breaking down between the club and the municipality.

Saturday evening, the Parisian ultras insulted the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and unfurled several banners targeting her during the PSG match against Lille (3-1) at the Parc des Princes. “Without PSG, the Park no longer has princes”, “Hidalgo kills Paris and its magic” or “Recovered by the politicians, a stadium for the people”, was written on banners taken out by the Auteuil bend in the Princes Park.
