Barça had however started their meeting perfectly, scoring in the 3rd minute thanks to a good recovery from the left foot of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, well served by Raphinha. The Catalans then gave way to a false rhythm before recovering in the second half. They multiplied the attempts, in particular through newcomers Ferran Torres and Abde, until the lock jumped in the 82nd minute.

Well placed, Ferran Torres took over a good cross from young Lamine Yamal, 16, who had barely entered the game. Launched in depth by Torres, Ansu Fati gave Barça the advantage with a cross shot in the 91st minute . Abde even widened the gap two minutes later to seal the score of the meeting. Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo was injured in the 32nd minute, replaced by Sergi Roberto.
