The Arsenal striker, who was loaned to Stade de Reims (French L1) last season, scored the second goal for Team USA by taking back in force, in the box, a deep pass from Giovanni Reyna (34th) . The match was one-sided until the hour mark, the Canadians managing to be dangerous, notably through Jonathan David, while narrowly avoiding the score from worsening several times against them.
The United States remain the only winners of this competition bringing together the nations of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, created in 2021 and which they had at the time won at the expense of Mexico (3-2 a.p. ).
