Fourth on the grid, the Briton was aiming for the podium but perhaps not second place on Sunday at the Chinese Grand Prix. Lando Norris had plenty of pace and his one-stop strategy paid off with the intervention of the two safety cars during the Grand Prix. This allowed him to find himself second on the restart. He escaped behind the untouchable Verstappen while Leclerc kept Perez behind him and the Mexican, once the Monegasque had passed, never saw him again. Very solid.

He had never won in China, an anomaly repaired. Already winner of the sprint and author of the pole on Saturday, Max Verstappen took part in the race on Sunday. The Batavian was never in danger with almost fifteen seconds ahead of the competition before the two safety cars. Two incidents which did not disturb the triple world champion who managed the two restarts wonderfully to take off in front again. From the blackboard.
18th on the grid, Lewis Hamilton had work ahead of him on Sunday and he did it well. The Briton delivered an attacking race and managed the two safety cars well with his team. This allows him to enter the points zone with ninth place. Two points not expected which are added to those of his good second place in the sprint. Interesting weekend.
FLOPS
Starting on soft tires to fight for the top 10, Lance Stroll ended up having a bad time in the race. The Canadian destroyed Daniel Ricciardo’s race on the first restart behind the safety car. The Aston Martin driver harpooned the Australian and placed all the blame on the Racing Bulls driver when the latter was forced to retire. Cheeky. Logically penalized by ten seconds, Stroll declared “that it was a joke” on the radio. We advise him to review the images.
In the battle for the points zone, Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo had crazy bad luck. The Japanese was hit by Kevin Magnussen on the first restart behind the safety car, and at the same time the Australian was harpooned by Lance Stroll. This caused the retirement of the two Racing Bulls drivers…Really too bad for Ricciardo who showed positive signals in China.
